Not many users prefer to drive a car using an automatic transmission. There are also those who decided to try a manual transmission to learn something new or look at the game from a different angle. And indeed the view is changing.
If You are not a Windows XP OS user, then in order to change the control method, You will need to use the Microsoft DirectInput Mapper application component, which will fix a critical error that the system does not have the necessary support file and, if You are a user of the Windows 10 operating system, You need to manipulate the settings of the video game window to get to the Module Controls for devices.
Quite often, users change the control keys (in the CONTROLS) in the video game for a simple reason: they do not like the location of the keyboard buttons responsible for driving the car, In other words, they don't like the default keyboard controls. This applies not only to the automatic transmission (automatic gear), but also to the manual transmission (manual gear).
Microsoft DirectInput Mapper
In order to change the default keyboard controls, You will need to use the module controls (keyboard and mouse). This Module Controls is activated only if the operating system has the necessary *.dll - files of the Microsoft DirectInput Mapper.
Download and install Microsoft DirectInput Mapper following the installation instructions from Garrett.
Microsoft DirectInput MapperThe Juiced Config SettingsOpen the root directory with the Juiced video game installed. To quickly open the root directory, use the follow path:
C:\Program Files (x86)\THQ\Juiced
Find the executable file of the video game settings and configuration, this is the JuicedConfig application (JuicedConfig.exe), select and run it by pressing ENTER.
In the JuicedConfig window, on the Settings tab, and in the Display block, set the position of the Display Mode form to 640x480 32bit. This will set the resolution of the video game screen. Select the Windowed checkbox and uncheck Widescreen if it was active before. Click OK button to activate the changes and close JuicedConfig application.
Do not close the Juiced - root folder. You will need the JuicedConfig application again later to restore all changes.
The Module Controls
Launch the Juiced video game. Switch to the OPTIONS section.
In the OPTIONS section, select and switch to the GAME category.
In the GAME OPTIONS category, You can control the position of the AUTO-GEARS setting by using the YES (AUTO-GEAR turned on),
and NO (AUTO-GEAR turned off) positions. Note: In the game mode/pause mode of the game process (events: Race; Point To Point; Pink Sleep; Sprint; SHOWOFF) You will not be able to use this setting. When You set the position, press ESCAPE to return to the OPTIONS section.
In the OPTIONS section, select and switch to the CONTROLS category.
The Juiced video game screen will be minimized or hided and then will be opened the Module Controls window.
The Module Controls window by default contains two tabs for two devices. This is a Keyboard and an optical Mouse and also contains blocks and a field, to change controls settings.
Blocks:
- Information: an important block that provides brief instructions for performing actions. Read the short instructions carefully. This block interacts with the mouse cursor: move the mouse cursor over one of the blocks or cells and You will see information about each element of the settings;
- Player: the block specifies the name of the user account that the settings will be assigned to. By default, settings and changes are pinned to all users. By default, an account named [unassigned] is fixed for this purpose;
- Available Actions: this block contains values. Values can be available (marked in light blue) or blocked (marked in dark gray).
If You have decided to change the default settings, use the OK button. This way the changes will be activated and the Module Controls window will be closed.
A video game window opens where You need to use the DONE to activate and save the changes (to take effect).
Close the video game. Run the JuicedConfig application again to restore all changes, or use it to set new changes. Do not forget to click OK button when everything will be done.

DeleteThis made it worse for me. This doesn't let me map POV controls to Hat Switch so I have to use my Keyboard anyway to move around menus since my steering wheel doesn't have joysticks. Also Unassigned doesn't let me map anything at all.

If we talk entirely about management, then the Juiced THQ video game is so built by the developers. It's not easy for everyone. There are no easy ways, even when using automatic control.
I didn't use any additional manipulators or devices. I always play with the keyboard. If I need manual control, then I use my own setup:
- R key - switching the speed to high;
- F key - switching the speed to the previous one.
For automatic control, I use the default key settings.

The car I started learning from is the Mustang GT99, it's my best friend in this game. And these are not simple words. Thanks to this car, I learned to feel its behavior on the road, how I should keep control on the road, at low and high speeds, as well as on turns. This is especially true for turns and difficult sections on the highway. I was interested in "the psychology" of the behavior of the car on the road, how to handle it and what not to do and what is unacceptable.
The Mustang 99GT resembles a real wild mustang, which is why I like it. He's a real boss on the road. It's great that the cars are different from each other.

The main thing is to initially configure the network and achieve visibility of the necessary equipment from all connected devices. The difference concerns only some of the restrictions allowed for the Home versions, but they also have solutions for connecting network equipment (by wire or via Wi-Fi).

- Static IP address selection;
- Setting up a Windows 10 LAN;
- Folder sharing;
- Be prepared for typical network connection problems (such a network may break down due to a bad router and You need to monitor this).

After making all connection settings, use the MULTIPLAY option in the Juiced video game. There You can set up the latest local computer connection settings and discover (current) accounts or create new ones.
