The DirectX 10 driver package that you downloaded is in fact an archive and contains the installer and library of several versions of the DirectX 10 driver package. This driver package was specifically built to support older video games - DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010).

Follow the steps below if you are having trouble installing the software:

1. Download the DirectX 10 driver package;

2. Create a New folder;

3. Run the DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010) - driver package and it will ask you to specify the folder where you want to extract the contents of the package - you need to specify the created New folder;

4. You need to open a New folder (the place where the archive was extracted) after extracting the archive. Find the DXSETUP.exe file and run it to install DirectX 10.

5. Wait until the driver package installation process is complete. Restart the computer.

    Doesn't work for me either. I installed DX 10 from your URL + restart.

    I have the latest version of
    - VC++ 2005 (x86, x64)
    - VC++ 2008 (x86, x64)
    - VC++ 2010 (x86, x64)
    - VC++ 2012 (x86, x64)
    - VC++ 2013 (x86, x64)
    - VC++ 2015-2019 (x86, x64)

    Still crashes...

      Try to do the following:

      1. Configure the game launch shortcut to run as an Administrator rights and launch the game;
      2. Create a compatibility mode, for example, set the game to run in compatibility mode with Windows 7 or Windows XP SP2, but without using the launch mode with Administrator rights;
      3. Create a compatibility mode, for example, set the game to run in compatibility mode with Windows 7 or Windows XP SP2, using the startup mode with Administrator rights.

      Antivirus:

      Sometimes antivirus software interferes with the normal operation and startup processes of software and video games. Check Your antivirus to see if the game launch shortcut or one of the game components is in the list of untrusted or unrecognized files or processes (the problem of the old videogames (due BINK Video)).
